For the present the Cracker course is offered to beginners who have computers, in a one on one situation at the library. It is envisaged members would then go on to the Arrowroot course which for now will be starting up at Esme's place.
If the demand increases more so, there may be a need to run Cracker classes in a group situation as before. If anyone is interested in teaching in a one on one situation at the library please contact Robyn.
For those who do not have a computer a shortened introductory course can be given at the library as it is not possible to continue to progress through the Cracker lessons without a computer to practise on.
Enquiries can be made by emailing Robyn Ridley at
robyn@biscc.com who will then allocate a tutor as required, or by contacting the Bribie Library.
The demand for introductory courses from members just breaking into computing never stops. The aim is to develop members to a standard with which they can join a SIG of their choice and understand the jargon.
At present workshops at Esme's are limited to six members a session
Preference would be given to those with computers as practice is essential.
Applications for Workshops are only received at the BISCC monthly meeting.
